BRFLS has a wide variety of art classes. These classes not only improve the students’ painting skills, but more importantly cultivate their sense of beauty. We want to give them a beautiful world.
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon, Teacher Gu teaches watercolor painting to a total of 31 students. Gu Xu hopes that through this semester’s study, the children can understand the particularity of watercolor paint and the right way to use it. Finally, she hopes they can paint pictures by their own.
Teacher GU says, ”Some students can easily paint the pictures and can finish the pictures by themselves just after my demonstration. Some students have a hard time painting the pictures. I will pay more attention to them, and do my demonstration over and over again. After one semester’s study, all of them are wonderful. They can paint very beautiful pictures now.”
Teacher GU graduated from Northeast Normal University and majored in watercolor painting. He also holds a degree in fine arts from the University of Wolverhampton. He has been teaching art since he graduated.
Teacher Rui LI’s Friday afternoon gouache class has a total of 6 students. Teacher LI has set four goals for the children. The first is to let the children understand gouache painting tools and materials. The second is to understand the characteristics of gouache painting, and grasp the methods and skills of gouache painting. The third is to complete 1-2 gouache paintings alone. The fourth is to let the children participate in a professional test in April. Ms. Li will show the children’s work at school at the end of this semester.
Professor Li has a small number of students, all of whom are young children. Therefore, they will encounter some problems. For the first grade students, gouache painting is very difficult, and teacher LI always uses many ways to stimulate the children’s interest. In addition, teacher Li always plays some light music for the children in order to let them relax.
Teacher Rui LI studied fine arts at Sichuan Normal University (Chinese painting). She has painted many famous pictures, including Lost, Ku Art, ART PANORAMA and Cultural publications.
Ms. LI always lets the students paint on their own, and uses different ways to teach them. Teacher LI hopes the children can paint beautiful pictures.
In Teacher LI’s teaching, she hopes the children can find out what natural beauty is. In addition, teacher LI always lets the students see the pictures from many artists, and lead the students into the world of those artists.
Teacher Min LI graduated from Shanxi Normal University, and was taught by Professor Lei SHI. She also studied at the Art College of Renmin University of China, where she was taught by Professor Ping YAN. Her students have won many prizes in many competitions.
Xiuli GAO teaches 4 students acrylic painting. The acrylic painting course pays attention to the creation ability and imagination ability of the children.
In Teacher GAO’s mind, she always lets the students keep their own ideas, and helps them make some improvements.
The main problem that Teacher GAO faces is about the painting materials. The students have difficulty using them. Teacher GAO lets the students paint simple pictures in order to help their sketching and creative abilities.
Teacher Xiuli GAO graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology, with a major in art and design. She also graduated from the Art Institute of Renmin University of China Now she is the head of the art group.
