Intro to BRS Curriculum Areas

True to our mission of cultivating global citizens, BRS offers an exciting blend of the world’s most prestigious international programs and Chinese national curriculum as approved by the Ministry of Education. Additionally, BRS offers several school-designed courses, giving students opportunities to explore additional topics of value and ignite students’ creativity and love of learning. The wide variety of programs available at BRS allows students to develop an educational plan customized to their own interests and aptitudes, while maintaining the academic rigor that will adequately prepare them for further studies, whether it be in China or abroad.

 AP Curriculum Intro

Beijing Royal School has one of the most substantive Advanced Placement programs in China. The AP program is created in the United states and offers college level classes and examinations to our high school students. Beijing Royal School currently offers over 30 AP courses and the list of new AP courses has been growing each year. All AP courses offered at Beijing Royal School are officially audited by College Board to maintain high standards. Taking an AP course will both increases a students’ knowledge and understanding in the desired subject area and will actually grant them better opportunities for scholarships and potential college credit.

 IB Curriculum Intro

Beijing Royal School is also known as an IB World School. We offer graduates the opportunity to receive the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (DP) upon Graduation. The IB Diploma is an academically rigorous and balanced program that prepares students for success at university and life beyond. It offers students the opportunity to choose a curriculum that best fits their interests and skills and can be tailored to meet their university educational goals. The Beijing Royal School IB program has been adding courses and staff at an increasing rate each semester.

 Additional Curriculum Intro

BRS offers a wide variety of other courses for both our international and local students. Many are designed to support students in reaching the higher levels of our rigorous international curricula. Other are courses of special interest, designed and delivered by expert teachers. Still others are offered for students with specific goals beyond high school, such as attending university in very specific countries, or achieving specific benchmarks set for themselves.
