The Moon, Poems and BRFLS – The Mid-Moon Festival Activity Held by Chinese Department

The Mid-Moon Festival is one of four Chinese traditional holidays of the Han ethnic group. But it has more factors about missing and caring for loved ones. Therefore, many poets in different dynasties have written poems about this holiday. But what does this festival look like in children’s eyes?

This activity was held by Chinese Department and students were encouraged to use their colorful paintbrushes and most importantly, their imagination to display what they thought about living on the Moon.

Some students also drew the traditional Chinese tales about the Moon, or used the Moon to express the idea of reuniting with family from faraway places in their hometowns like migratory birds.

Best wishes to everyone, happy holiday!
