Happy Mother’s Day!

English teachers showed the children how to make cards for Mother’s Day. Although there were only a few words written on the card like, “Hope you are happy!” and “You are a great mom!” these words brought joy to the moms.
The art teachers taught the children how to make flowers for their mom. Because the children made them, their moms must have thought they were the most beautiful flowers in the world.
The school chefs taught the children how to make homemade bread for their moms.
The children tried their best to help their moms after school by mopping the floor, trimming the vegetables, giving their mom foot massages, etc.
The homeroom teacher of Grade 1, Class 4 also prepared carnations for the students to give their moms after school. They also learned this poem.
M – O – T – H – E – R by Howard Johnson
“M” is for the million things she gave me,
“O” means only that she’s growing old,
“T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
“H” is for her heart of purest gold;
“E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
“R” means right, and right she’ll always be,
Put them all together, they spell “MOTHER,”
A word means the whole world to me.
