BRFLS Social Practice│DIY Bread with Love for Mom

On May 10th, students from Grade 1, Class 7, 8, and 9 visited the Beijing Yili Food Company. The company won the title of China Time-Honored Brand, and is an excellent company that has been around for more than 100 years.

Today, their goal was to make bread as a Mother’s Day gift.

Students walked into the room wearing aprons and hats.

Each student was given dough and raisins and sweetened bean paste for stuffing. The chef taught the students how to make caterpillar bread, flower bread, and croissants. After that, the students could make their own bread.

Bread making was great for the students! They kneaded the dough with their hands and rolled it. They made the dough into smiley faces, windmills, etc.
The students were guided to the outdoor exhibition hall and corridor to learn about the process of selling bread in the market while the bread was baking.

Finally, the fresh bread came out and had a nice smell that all the students liked. They were going to give the bread to their parents when they got home. They believed the bread was the most delicious thing in the world because it was made with love.
