Start a ‘Art Life’ in Ms. Shi’s Dancing Club.

I am a parent of a BRFLS student. My daughter’s name is Pan Chuxuan.

Recently, the hazy weather in Beijing has been bothersome. Many people walk on the road with their long faces, but I am an optimist! My heart is full because I can see how successful my daughter has become. At the 9th Chinese Arts Festival, her and two of her friends performed a trio. I was afraid that they would be too nervous, and freeze. But to my surprise, they did a marvelous job!

This is not the first event that my daughter has taken part it. Recently she won first place with her dance group Jin JiXuan Mei. She was so excited. But I was even more excited, because I had witnessed all of the work she put in.

Chuxuan transferred from a school in He Ze to BRFLS when she was in grade 3. She was very shy and did not have a lot of self-confidence. I was afraid that she would not be able to adjust to her new school, and was worried that this would maker her depressed. However, seeing her now, I had nothing to worry about. At BRFLS, she has become an outgoing, joyful, optimistic, confident, and mature girl. I think that Chuxuan joining dance was vital for her happiness. I am so grateful that Ms. Shi Xuefang was so encouraging and supportive.

Chuxuan had never taken dance classes before she joined Ms. Shi’s dance group. Most people believe that at her age, it would be too late to start to learn how to dance. However, Ms. Shi continued to work with her and even gave her extra training. Lesson after lesson, I could see that Chuxuan was progressing. Because of dance, her self-confidence has also gone up.

Dance has also assisted in my child’s ability to work with others. Because Chuxuan is an only child, at first it was difficult for her to think of others before herself. But now, she’s always considerate of her mom and dad, teachers, and peers.

Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the staff at BRFLS. I am so thankful. I hope for the continued success of Ms. Shi’s dance group.
