September is the harvest season. At the beginning of the semester, the BRFLS held a reading sharing meeting. Students shared their improvement in reading during the holiday with teachers and students. Also, the teachers recommended books to the students.
In the reading sharing meeting, students shared their books in different ways, such as reading books, speeches, telling stories, sharing reading experiences, and so on.
The students introduced their books, reading methods and reading stories. Some of them did a summary of the contents of the book, or expressed their understanding of the book and feelings. Others talked about their favorite characters in the book, or their reading experience and what they gained from the book.
The students enjoyed the reading sharing meeting very much. This exchange of knowledge greatly benefited the students. Golgi once said, “Books are the ladder of human development and progress.” This meeting helped students develop their reading skills.
Reading can broaden students’ horizons and give them access to a wealth of knowledge; reading is a dialogue with the noble people, and a spiritual travel; reading makes people brave and happy. Good books can enrich students’ spiritual world.
The group of Chinese teachers in BRFLS will lead students to read good books, and let reading become a habit for students. These reading habits will continue to make students’ lives better and better.
