[Arts Corner] Color Your Soul in BRFLS interest class

Introduction:

The main goal of the RFLS staff is to provide the best environment for our children as possible. The teachers and staff are continually trying to improve the comfort of our children. For example, the teachers in the art departments focus on working on the children’s art appreciation skills. This is where they are encouraged to produce their own creations.

In order to improve the students’ art appreciation skills, RFLS has provided many interest classes that pertain to many styles of art. The teachers have said that art classes are not solely to produce artists, but more to focus on the students’appreciation of art.
Acrylic Painting, led by Ms. GaoXiuli, is the most popular art interest class.

Acrylic painting is easy for beginners, because acrylic pain is fast drying. Acrylic paint is also water-soluble, and becomes water resistant when it dries.

Best things about acrylic paint

3. It is easier to work with than oil paints, because you don’t need to apply more paint to avoid cracking.
By the end of this semester, students will be familiar with the basics of acrylic painting. They are also knowledgeable on how to do simple paintings on their own. Ms. Gao allowed the students to choose their painting theme, rather than assigning one herself. Students are encouraged to implement the techniques of others.

At RFLS, children are encouraged to use their imagination. Others inspire their artwork. This aids in stimulating their imagination for their own work. The Acrylic Painting Interest Class is a mode for the children to be able to express themselves. In this class, every child is an artist.
