【Colorful Interest Class—Special Edition】The Horse Riding Dream of Students in BRFLS

In this semester, students can take the equestrian class. This interest class will not only strengthen students’ body health, but also give them chances to make like-minded friends.

Every Friday afternoon, 6 RFLS students who chose the equestrian class would go to the riding court accompanied by their parents. As equestrian class is a new setting in RFLS, students are all at the beginner’s level. After a period of learning, Beijing Equestrian Association will accredit the students per their level. Also, coaches will apply relevant equestrian exams for them.

Teaching young children how to ride a horse is a challenge for the coaches. The first thing they need to worry about is the children’s short attention span. For the theory courses, it is especially hard to keep students quiet. Thus, coaches decided to use various teaching methods to attract their attention, such as Q&A, audio and video teaching techniques.

For the practical courses, the priority would be the safety issue. Since each student has their parent and at least one coach be accompanied with them, they got used to the riding sessions very soon.

All the coaches think very highly of the students from RFLS. The little riders are going to take part in the Youth Rider Performance Evaluation. We all believe there is no better way to prove themselves than being a honored rider!
