【Colorful Interest Class—Special Edition】Let the Music Flow From Children's Little Fingers

Popular from grades one to six, are the musical interest classes of jazz drums and guitar. Many students think these classes are so cool!

Currently, there are two teachers teach the guitar interest class, they are Mr. MouChuncheng and Mr. Chen Hongjia. In Mr. Mou’s class, there are 16 students with different guitar playing abilities. In this case, Mr. Mou divided students into beginners’ group and the advanced group. In this way, students who just started learning to play the guitar would not feel the lesson is too difficultandstudents who have learnt guitar before can improve.

In Mr. Chen’s class, most of the students are young children. Thus, his teaching focus is on basic musical knowledge and basic guitar playing techniques. According to Mr. Chen, he stated that solid basic playing skills are the foundation of a good guitar player.

In Mr. Mou’s jazz drumming interest class, there are 15 students, 4 of them gave an amazing show at the New Year’s Gala in RFLS.

No matter which instruments, the most important goal is to learn to never give up.

MouChuncheng graduated from Institute of Music in Minzu University of China and has been teaching percussion music since 2008. Mr. Mou has won a multiple of prizes both on his own music career and his teaching career. He was also assigned as a tutor for a musical TV programmeon CCTV.

Academically, he is familiar with the percussion music curriculums from Composition Department of Central Conservatory of Music, Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College London (LTCL). His students have won prizes from many music competitions.

Chen Hongjia is a senior guitar teacher from Chinese Musicians Association. He has experience in teaching music instruments for nearly 10 years. He published his own MV in 2012.
