A Beautiful Journey to Enjoy Poetry – BRFLS Chinese Demo Class
On the afternoon of September 20th, Chinese Teacher Feng Yang selected a product called “To the Bright Side” written by a famous Japanese children’s poetry writer and brought us into the deep world inside her heart.
Feng Yang taught her class with a wide variety of body language, facial expressions and emotion because she wanted to develop the children’s imagination and trigger their curiosity. She wanted them to feel and experience the beauty of this poem with their most natural feelings.
She also paid attention to the process of children’s self-creation of poetry. Students raised questions, examined those questions and finally solved them. What’s more important is that they quickly learned how to question and explore new things.
We were astounded at how quickly they learned to question and explore new things. How smart they are!
Afterwards, all the Chinese teachers had a very fervent discussion about the class. They gave resounding approval and praise for her class but also gave their own valuable suggestions for how to better the class.
We strongly believe the Chinese department will continue to make wonderful progress like this in the future.
