An Interview With Teacher Zhang Duanduan About Leading Class

No one is perfect, including the school and the teachers, but we try our best to be perfect. The Chinese group at BRFLS held a leadership class led by the grade four teacher Zhang Duanduan.

In the leadership class, Teacher Zhang taught the students about an article called, ‘Evening Glow.’

Zhang said, “I did a lot of preparation in order to have a perfect leadership training, including reading relevant books and searching for materials. I also got a lot of help from other teachers, such as the Director of the Department of Education Sun Jian and the Chinese Language Teaching and Research Group teachers YueHui and Teacher Liang. I would like to thank them.”

Teacher Zhang showed the article to students. The students enjoyed it a lot and felt like they wanted to learn more.

Teacher Zhang not only let students discuss the content of the article, but also let them share ideas about their reflection of the article. It was an enjoyable class.

After leading the class, the experts and all the Chinese teachers did a class evaluation. Teacher Zhang said, “Teacher Mu gave me very good advice, and I realized I need to focus on linguistics and maximize using the article itself. I learned a lot form the class evaluation.”

This is just the beginning; there will be more teachers participating in this event in the future. This is a very important event because it improves the BRFLS teachers’ professional development. We hope BRFLS and the teachers will continue to improve.
