An Open Day for Parents of Grade 1, Class 7 and 8

On January 6th, 2017, there was an open class for Class 7 and 8 Grade One. On that day, parents were able to watch their child’s class (math, English, and Chinese). Parents also attended the piano performances and swimming awards ceremony.

The children wanted to impress their parents and took the day very seriously. They all wore princess skirts or suits!

With help from the teachers, the children’s learning and behavior habits have made tremendous improvements. Because of this, all of the children were given an award. After the awards ceremony, each child presented their parents with a New Year greeting card and expressed their appreciation and love for them.

Parents watched the Chinese, English, and math teacher in an open class. The parents were impressed with the scores their children had received and the quality of teaching from the teachers.

In the Chinese class, the children did a performance of poetry readings. Some of the poems included classics such as; LunYuSanZe, Watch the TianMen Mountain, Song for Tomorrow, and Coming Home. The children did a wonderful job and the parents were happy.

In the English class, the foreign teacher, Karl, taught some songs to the children. They also learned basic words and dialogue. Parents were engaged by the games the children were playing. Everyone had a lot of fun.

In the math class, Teacher Jingjing Zhang taught the children some numbers through engaging activities. The children enjoyed the class and were interested in the subject.

After the open classes, the parents watched the children’s piano performances. Although the children had only begun to learn four months ago, the children played very well.

The parents listened to a speech by President BIAN on the courses provided at BRFLS and the care the teachers and staff provide for the children. The parents were happy to hear about all of the courses and how well their children were being looked after.

At the end of the day, the parents were very pleased to see their children’s performances and all of the wonderful staff. As a teacher at BRFLS, we will continue to work hard to ensure that every child reaches their full potential.
