Read-aloud Contest in BRFLS

On the afternoon of December 14th,  ‘ I love read-aloud’ the reading contest was held. There were 28 competitive candidates from Grade 1 to Grade 6. The articles they read were various in kind and different in pattern.

The first round competition was among the candidates from Grade 1 and 2. They were young but very confident. The powerful voice from their little bodies did shock the judges and the audience. Liu Zirui, Ma Tianze and Gao Shuxuan were highly praised by the judges.

The competition for students from Grade 3 to Grade 6, it is more intense than the first round. Candidates put their sincere feelings in when they read out loud the articles. The reading pace changed while they transferred their feelings. Some of the candidate prepared the background music, which definitely added credits for their performance.

The last candidate went on the platform was Chen Fenglin from Grade 6. It gave him so much pressure that the previous excellent 27 performances. Also, the audience and the judges were all tired near the end of the contest. However, just when Chen opened his mouth and the voice came out, all people’s eye were wide opened. The background music was the theme music from movie  House of Flying Daggers. All people’s attention was caught by his passionate show. At the end, the ceaseless applause was best praise he has ever received.

At the end of this contest, the leader of Chinese teaching group announced the recipients of the awards.

Third prize: Zhao Mulei; Wu Qinlan; Liu Linsen

Second prize: Ma Tianze; Gao Shuxuan

First prize: Chen Fenglin

Although this year’s read-aloud contest has finished, the reading sound is still in RFLS. Students would definitely gained the happiness and achievement when they feel what the writer felt. That’s the charm of reading poems.
