Principal Wang Guangfa addresses at BRS Class of 2019 Commencement Ceremony

The BRS Class of 2019 Commencement Ceremony was held on May 23 in the gymnasium with Principal Wang Guangfa addressing the attendees. He pointed out that the ceremony showcasing our students’ versatility and innovation accurately reflects the school’s deeply-held philosophy of helping students explore and develop their aptitudes, and how doing so translates into enriching lifelong pursuits and successful careers.

Graduation means to finish, while commencement means beginning: This ceremony marks both as the 281 graduates have successfully completed their high school education at BRS and now advance toward their own university and life experiences.

In his closing remarks, Principal Wang Guangfa shared profound perspectives on this day. He reminded us all what is going on in China and around the world, and emphasized the importance of nurturing our own homegrown talents with global perspectives and world-recognized capabilities. Possessing these capabilities, which include a broadened perspective, critical thinking skills, and innovative mindset, a patriotic spirit and the potential of much more, will help to ensure a person’s and a nation’s global competitiveness. Lastly, he urged all graduates to embrace their responsibility as global citizens, always keeping their mission to serve country in their minds, assuring all those present that BRS will continue striving to offer a well-rounded environment for students’ holistic development.
