Demonstrating Beauty at the Dance Grade Level Test
December 7th was an important day for 54 BRFLS students, because they were going to take a dance grade level test.
The senior judge Wang Ye from the Beijing Folk Dance Test Center was welcomed by students as he walked into Beijing Royal School Auditorium. Some parents were also invited to cheer for their children.
BRFLS dance teachers Shi Licen and Cao Lijun gave students very detailed instructions on every movement and how to maintain eye contact. Students repeatedly practiced in the quality classes every Monday and Wednesday. Their efforts were a perfect example of a classical Chinese saying: “One minute on stage needs ten minutes off stage”.
Students were very excited but also a little nervous before the test, but they tried their best for the judge by giving it their all.
After the exam, Teacher Wang acknowledged students’ excellent dance skills and the fine results of their studies at BRFLS. However, he also pointed out that dancers need to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of happiness in order to be able to spread their joy to others. He sincerely hoped students could do even better next year!
