The 1st BRFLS Chinese Calligraphy Show Teaches Students a Good Lesson

On the afternoon of November 28, the 1st BRFLS Chinese Calligraphy Show was formally held in the auditorium on campus.

This show included a wide variety of performances such as Chinese opera, professional Chinese folk singing, short plays, calligraphy, dance, and much more.

A single important idea lay behind each performance, all trying to convey this one deeper meaning.

Through watching the entire show, students learned that calligraphy is the most precious treasure of Chinese civilization. They were especially impressed after listening to one story shared by a student’s mother. She came back from Australia when she was six without even knowing any Chinese at all, but now, after some hard work and dedication she can write the most beautiful Chinese characters.

Finally, BRFLS Principal Ren addressed all the students, asking that they try their best to learn Chinese writing in order to better inherit the gift of Chinese tradition and classic civilization.
