Xiuwen Li

Xiu Wen Li has headed the biology department for three years, during which time she has worked tirelessly to upgrade the curriculum and modernize teaching methods. For example, to ensure that students understand what they have been taught, she has introduced “Mind Maps.” Through their use, students create visual representations of the concepts they have learned and their relationships to each other. As a result, student engagement has increased and along with it student enjoyment and interest in the subject of biology.
