√A language education specialist with extensive bilingual writing and editing experience, Hongyan Chen oversees the production of research-based language curricula and teaching materials for BRS’ s Language Center and is the author of Beijing Royal School Academic Writing Guide (First Edition). Her background as a university professor makes her especially committed to providing professional development opportunities to the younger faculty under her direction. For example, in 2013, she led a delegation of BRS teachers participating in the 6th National Chinese Language Conference (Boston, MA). Currently she co-directs BRS’ s integration of mobile technologies into the English program to accelerate mastery of academic vocabulary and expose Chinese learners to world literature.
