√Francis Felicelli, a creative and dynamic history teacher, is a National Board Certified Teacher, a designation held by only 15 % of U.S. teachers. Francis Felicelli brings to BRS more than two decades of experience teaching history and a deep commitment to bringing the subject alive through student engagement, lively debate, and research based on primary sources. He is passionate about helping students see the importance of history, defining it as “the story of who we are, an understanding of which is the key to understanding and positively influencing where we are heading– here in China or anywhere in the world.” Finally, he is interested in educational research related to improved student outcomes and was a co-investigator in a UNC study of single sex history instruction.
