PYP Explores organisations │ PYP三年级社会实践

On Wednesday May 15, Classes 3.1 and 3.2 spent the morning visiting and exploring the Golden Cane. The purpose of this field trip was for students take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply using a real organization.

5月15号周三上午,PYP三(1)和三(2)班的孩子们在老师的带领下,一起参观、探索了金手杖养老院。本次实践的目的,是为了帮助孩子们把在学校里学到的知识真正运用于实际的组织中。

Our Unit:

How We Organize Ourselves

Organizations exist to assist a community.

Our wonderful hosts at the Golden Cane had many great activities planned for our students. Upon arrival the students gathered around a giant 3D map of the compound and listened attentively as the Golden Cane explained all the different features available in and around their organization.

金手杖养老院为我们准备了丰富多彩的活动。首先,在金手杖接待人员的带领下,孩子们聚集在一个巨大的三维地图前,仔细观察并聆听这个组织内外的相关介绍。

After that, the students of 3,1 and 3,2 were mixed into 3 groups and taken for a tour of the facilities. During this time students paid close attention and asked many questions to understand all the different features of the Golden Cane.

随后,PYP三(1)和三(2)班的孩子们分成三组,参观了金手杖养老院。在此期间,学生们聚精会神提出了许多问题来探究金手杖的不同特征。

Next, we were fortunate enough to be invited to attend the monthly birthday party held for the residents. We watched several performances and then 3,1 and 3,2 performed acts of their own and wished everyone a happy birthday.

之后,我们非常幸运地参加了他们为老人们举办的每月生日会。在欣赏了多才多艺的爷爷奶奶们带来的精彩纷呈的演出后,孩子们也带来了他们精心准备的节目,并向爷爷奶奶们送去了生日祝福。

Then our ever accommodating hosts, arranged for students in groups of 4-5 to interview their employees about the structure, function and purpose of the Golden Cane. It was wonderful to see students so engaged and asking wonderful questions.

然后,孩子们4-5人一组,开始了采访员工环节,从而了解了金手杖养老院的结构、功能与目的。孩子们踊跃参与其中,提出了许多精彩的问题。

We ended our visit with a lovely lunch. During this time students accompanied the residents of the Golden Cane and joined them for lunch. This put a great big smile on the faces of the residents to have such well-mannered and polite students dining with them.

最后,孩子和爷爷奶奶们度过了非常温馨的午餐时光。在此期间,孩子陪伴爷爷奶奶们共进午餐。他们礼貌而体贴的表现,温暖着在场每位爷爷奶奶们的心灵,也让爷爷奶奶们的脸上洋溢着幸福的微笑。

The students not only enjoyed the trip to the Golden Cane but also learned a lot about how organizations work in the real world. We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to the Golden Cane for inviting us to their organization and going above and beyond to provide us with such a wonderful and educational experience.

此次出游,学生们不仅度过了愉快的时光,并且也学会了如何在实际生活中运转组织。我们将向金手杖养老院表达我们衷心的感谢,并邀请他们参观我们的学校。感谢金手杖养老院为我们的孩子们带来如此美妙的学习体验。
