一、记忆单词的方法。当你得到一个要记忆的单词表时，首先浏览一下所有的单词，把不理解的单词单独记下来，搜索它们的含义。之后，把单词分成音节。例如extravagance这个词，可以分解成四个音节，ex-tra-va-gance。除了帮助记忆之外，这种方法还能使拼写更加准确，有助于避免口误。

二、在比赛现场，拼读单词时经常会有口误，这大多是因为过度紧张、缺乏自信，让人很难集中注意力。可以想象周围的观众都是“假”的，勇敢地说出这个单词。不要语速太快，避免说错字母或混淆单词的顺序。

最后，我非常感谢有这个机会参加比赛。如果你努力奋斗，你会有所成就。只要一次又一次地尝试，你就会得到回报。即使你没有获奖，参加比赛也是一种重要的经历。一直前进，永远不要后退！

Through this great opportunity to enter SPBCN, I really benefited from it. While I was preparing for this competition, I found out some helpful ways to memorize words.

First of all, let me tell you some methods to memorize words. When you get a list of words to memorize, take a look at all the words. List down the words you don’t really understand, search the definitions. After you understand the meaning of the words, break the words into syllables. For example, let’s say you are trying to memorize the word “extravagance”. You can break the word into four syllables, ex-tra-va-gance. Apart from memorizing, this method also makes you’re spelling more accurate. It helps to avoid error while spelling.

On the other hand sometimes people make speaking errors during spelling, this is mainly due to nervousness. When you are spelling directly to the pronouncer, it is very hard to focus, nervousness and the lack of confidence takes over. To be less nervous you can imagine that everyone around you is fake and spell the word out bravely. Don’t say the letters too quickly, you might say the wrong letters or confuse the order of the word.

In conclusion, I am really thankful to have this opportunity to enter this competition. If you struggle through and work hard you will achieve something. Just try again and again. You will get something back. Even if you don’t get a prize, entering a competition is always an important experience. Keep moving forward, never stop the beat.
