Look, students are carrying a lot of strange objects walking back and forth and they are in strange costumes. What are they doing? It is the BRFLS Chinese carnival held by Chinese Department and students have to pass several levels in order to win the final certificate.
During this event, students obviously enjoyed the uniqueness of it, which was carefully designed to train students’ teamwork and collaboration from many aspects including poetry reciting, ancient Chinese reading, word games, etc. Students also needed to give effective feedback and assessment to their group members, partners and themselves. They felt so happy when they received some positive feedback and confirmation from their peers and teachers.
Through this carnival, students were very joyful and they firmly believed in the importance of making efforts before the final harvest. The winners felt so proud to win the titles of Independent PYP learners.
