2010 Nobel Prize Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselov Lights Up BRS 5th Annual Science Fair

On November 26, BRS 5th Annual Science Fair, themed Science and Beyond, was unveiled in the BRS Gym and attended enthusiastically by all students and teachers from BRS’s senior and junior high divisions. The BRS Annual Science Fair is a demonstration of learning about science by showcasing our students’ brilliant achievements through inquiry-based projects and celebrates the deep-seated commitment BRS maintains for scientific innovation. This commitment to fueling students’ desires to discover and innovate in the science world lights the fire of enthusiasm in students and cultivates their natural curiosities about the world around them. The opening speaker for the BRS Science Fair this year is specially invited 2010 Nobel Prize Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselov, who introduced his research in Graphene to both teachers and students. He said that science isn’t taught, but, rather, it is sought by the minds of those who wonder. He urges BRS students that the trends come and go, and they should focus on what interests them.
