On Tuesday, March 26, 2019 the PYP Grade 1 students took a trip to the Oriental Dreams Future World. This was to coordinate with our unit How We Express Ourselves and for the purpose of creating new experiences for the students. These experiences and the feelings associated with them will be expressed in the students’ summative assessments the following week.
The students were all very excited for the rides including a roller coaster, 4D motion rides, and a space alien shooting game. Some students were even a little scared. What an experience! OrientalDreams Future World also had some learning activities where we had to fight viruses, code the genes for new plants, and use our voices to make light from sound.
Our PYP Grade 1 students had a blast on our excursion! Now we will start reflecting on our trip and expressing our feelings through the many different creative arts we have studied during class.
3月26日周二，PYP一年级的同学们一起来到梦东方未来世界航天主题乐园。此次活动目的在于配合当前教学单元主题——如何表达自己，为学生带来全新的体验。这次经历及与之相关的感受将在学生下周的总结性评估中体现。
过山车、4D运动游乐设施、外星人射击游戏是学生们最感兴趣的项目。有些项目甚至让人感到小小的害怕，好神奇！与此同时，梦东方未来世界也提供了一些教学互动，例如对抗病毒、新植物的基因代码、以及通过光线具象表达声音能量等。
PYP一年级的学生们在这次旅行中玩得很开心！在本周剩下的几天里，我们将对此这次社会探究体验进行反思，并运用课堂上学到的多种创造性艺术手段来表达我们的感受。
