Hopping into Spring Activity｜跃入春天，校园嘉年华

After the long and cold winter, we are finally celebrating the warmer weather now that Spring has arrived at Beijing Royal Foreign Language School.

On Friday, 19 April 2019, the English department at Beijing Royal Foreign Language School organized an incredible event for the students in the primary school.   The students were able to participate in an array of fun activities.  This gave the students an opportunity to go out of the classroom and learn about teamwork and class participation.

Each class had the opportunity to play one of the 3 games (Egg Decorating, Cone Toss and Bowling) as well as getting their faces painted in fun Spring Designs. They also had the opportunity to meet Bugs Bunny, and take a photo with her. During each game the students had to work together to get the most points for their class teams.  The winning team in each grade will be given a class prize as an award.

Beside the team activities, the students were also given the opportunity to decorate some eggs and get their faces painted to celebrate Spring.  Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Everywhere you look you see the bright colors of the delicate flowers blooming. In the same way the children could be likened to the blooming flowers as they are getting ready for the second half of the semester and the next year of school.

The main goal of the activity was to have students work in class teams to reach a common goal. This allowed them to work together in a fun way while they are playing.  I believe that playing allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength.

It is so important to take some time out of our busy schedules to appreciate each other and our environment. The students and teachers at RFLS had a fun filled afternoon together celebrating this wonderful time of the year.

4月19日星期五，北京王府外国语学校小学部英语组为学生组织了一场快乐非凡的活动。通过一系列有趣的活动，孩子们可以收获课堂之外实现团队合作和班级参与的机会。

每个班级都有机会参与三种游戏（彩蛋装饰、套环游戏、保龄球）以及有趣的脸部彩绘，还可以见到“兔八哥”并和它一起拍照。每个活动中，学生都要通过团体合作来为他们的班级赢得更高的分数。每个年级中获胜的团队将会获得班级奖励。

除了团队合作活动以外，孩子们同样有机会以彩蛋装饰和脸部彩绘来庆祝春天的到来。春天是我一年中最喜欢的时节，不管走到哪里，你都可以看到鲜艳美丽的花朵绽放。学生们也将像绽放的花朵一样，迎接下半个学期以及下一学年的到来。

活动旨在让学生在游戏中通过班级合作来实现共同的目标。相信这些游戏可以让孩子们在发挥创造力的同时，发展想象力、敏捷度、体能、认知力、情绪承受能力。

从忙碌的日程中抽出一些闲暇时间，彼此交流互鉴是一件非常有意义的事。在这个愉快的午后，让我们一同庆祝一年中美好的时光。
